This Twin Otter was originally delivered to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as CF-MPC June 24, 1971 and operated with them until October 11, 2000. That's when Kenn Borek Air re-registered it as C-FBBV and put it in service. Photographed here just days before departing for Antarctica to join the summer season of the US Antarctic Program.

The Basler BT-67 is a fixed-wing aircraft produced by Basler Turbo Conversions of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It is a retrofitted Douglas DC-3 airframe, with modifications designed to improve the DC-3's serviceable lifetime. The conversion includes fitting the airframe with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67R turboprop engines, lengthening the fuselage, strengthening the airframe, upgrading the avionics, and making modifications to the wings' leading edge and wing tip (Source: Wikipedia). Here seen leaving Guayaquil. (Nikon D610 + Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G AF-S VR ED)
