Arriving at a very wet Eelde.

The start of a new service from FlyBe (operated by Stobart Air). At the time, it connected Groningen with Southend, 6 times a week (except Saturdays). We were very fortunate with the weather, as moments before the aircraft landed, a heavy shower and thunderstorm was passing the field.

The weather had been rather interesting the past 2 days as scattered clouds full of precipitation passed over the airport. The mornings have been a bit cold and as such we experienced some snow showers. This one was by far the heaviest and took place right when the aircraft was going to start up. Due to this period of moderate snow, de-icing was needed after all.

Subbing for the then regular ATR-72-500's.

A relatively busy apron, mostly caused due to delays. The first Transavia had a broken display screen in the cockpit upon arrival from Faro. The second Transavia came to the rescue, bringing in a mechanic and spare part to fix the other aircraft. As they were doing that, we were busy turning around the EI-REI, which was operating the Flybe/Stobart Air service to London Southend.

Operating the Stobart Air routes from Southend this winter, instead of the ATR 72-500's. Seen here departing for Rennes, France. Upon returning, it had encountered a technical problem and my flight back to Groningen got canceled. The airline did take good care of us though and it ended up being quite a fun evening. Ex. C-GITI, X-FZVZ, OY-CIT, G-SSEA. Withdrawn from use on February 12, 2018 and stored at Maastricht (EHBK) on March 6, 2018. The fuselage was trucked to PS Aero in Baarle, where it was sold in January 2021. It is preserved in Braamt, as glamping accomodation at Jan Klaassen Dromenland.

Flown to Bournemouth on 11th March 2020 and expected to have its Flybe colours removed before returning to service.

Already the third (sub)type for Stobart on the London Southend route in about 1,5 years. The ATR 72-500's moved to Isle Of Man and were subbed by EI-EHH (ATR 42-300) starting this winter. However, that type was deemed too small, so it got switched to EI-REH.
