This 134 was originally delivered to the Ukraine directorate of Aeroflot as CCCP-65765 in June 1979. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union it was noted at Kiev (KBP) with and all wihite tail. In January 1993 it was registered UR-65765 and started flying for Avialini Ukrayiny (titles in Ukranian script are on the port side of this plane). The plane was leased to South Airlines as UR-SAL from November 2004 and eventually retired in February 2010 and stored at Odessa (ODS). It still wears in storage a fake Aeroflot colour scheme and 'CCCP-65632' registration that were applied for a film.

Taxying out for a flight to Warsaw we passed this line of aircraft UR-76778, UR-76705, UR-76717 and an unidentified Yak 42. The nose of 76717 is covered due to damage caused during an air show on 27th July 2002 when a Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27UB performing low-altitude manoeuvres hit it. The Sukhoi crashed in flames into spectators, killing 77. Both pilots of the Su-27 ejected and survived but were later imprisoned for their negligence. UR-76717 was not broken up until 2012
