Returning from its trip to Juneau, NC16927 again called at the City Float in Ketchikan but the flying boat spent the night moored at a settlement then called Wacker City, on the west side of Ward(s) Cove. More test flights followed and larger four-engined S-42s docked exclusively in Ward Cove according to local historian Dave Kiffer. These flights were discontinued in 1940. On 7 August 1938 this PAA Baby Clipper made an experimental flight to Juneau from Seattle, via Ketchikan. A landplane route to Juneau via Prince George, Canada was eventually chosen. Delivered to Pan Am in March 1985 and later flew with Philippine Airlines as F-OHPA before conversion to a freighter in November 1999. Subsequently flew as OO-DLI with European Air Transport on behalf of DHL and EI-OZH for Aero Contractors. Registered to Southern Aircraft Charters in January 2014 as N833JM and placed into storage at Sanford Fla. Although painted in Transcarga colours in 2014, the aircraft has remained in store at Sanford for many years.

Acquired by PanAm in 1980 in the takeover of National Airlines.

I'm sure no airline would name one of their aircraft using the word "Stowaway" in this politically-correct era that exists in the 21st century!

New York City's East 60th Street heliport opened on Nov. 4, 1968 and ordered closed by Mayor Rudy Giuliani at the end of February 1998. In 1982, Pan Am contracted Omniflight Helicopter Services to operate a free helicopter service for all of its first-class and Clipper-Class passengers between the East 30th Street Heliport and the airline's Worldport Terminal at JFK Airport utilizing Bell 222As and later the Westland WG30. This 222A was seen taking off for JFK in April 1984. It later flew with operators in New Zealand (ZK-HFQ), Turkey (TC-HMH) and South Africa (ZS-HMS) before it was retired.

I believe this 727 had been European-based since the mid-1970s.

Converted to freighter May 1993 and became N202PH with Tower Air 1st June 1993, then N745SJ with Southern Air Transport 23rd Jan 1995 and N486EV with Evergreen 21st June 2001. Retired KMZJ (Marana) 22nd June 2013 and scrapped Jan 2015
