Postwar built and delivered to ANA on 7 March 1946. Named "Warana". Loaned to BCPA and returned. Sold to Sabena in 1958 as OO-SBV and later to TMA as OD-ADO. Obtained from ANA 60 years ago.

"Amana" was a postwar-built DC-4, delivered to ANA on 9 February 1946. It crashed at York, Western Australia, shortly after take off from Guildford Airport on 26 June 1950. From ANA 60 years ago.

One of the few postwar production DC-4s (not a C-54) arriving at Oakland on September 18, 1946 for the inaugural landing of ANA in the U.S. Since landing rights had not yet been granted, the plane merely stopped for fuel, and continued on to Vancouver where passengers disembarked. The passengers were later greeted by the press and given a luncheon at Oakland Airport during their layover in commemoration of the flight.

Ex USAAF 42-23728 and RAAF A65-10. Served with 34 Squadron using call sign VHCTK. Sold to Guinea Airways on 30 December 1946 as VH-AVM and on to ANA in May 1947. Returned to the USA in June 1953 as N1433V and scrapped circa 1984. From ANA 60 years ago.

Delivered to Holymans Airways in August 1932. Merged into ANA in November 1936. Burnt out in a hangar fire at Broken Hill NSW on 6 September 1939. From ANA 60 years ago.

1946-built as G-AHJC. After service on the Berlin Airlift it was sold to ANA in September 1949 and named "Kiopana". Withdrawn in 1958 and broken up at Essendon in September 1961. Obtained from ANA 50 years ago.

Postwar-built DC-4 delivered to ANA on 10 June 1946 and named "Tatana". Crashed on landing at Sydney (Mascot) on 16 October 1952.

Formerly PK-ADD with KNILM and flown to Australia in 1942 to escape the Japanese advance through Indonesia. Impressed by the USAAF, it was operated by Australian National Airways (note small "ANA" on the nose) with the call sign VHCXC. It was given a temporary serial of 41-426 and later, after it was withdrawn from use, an official serial of 44-83232 and the official type designation C-110.
ANA bought the DC-5 after the war and it became VH-ARD. After a couple of changes of ownership, it went to Israel in 1948 as a makeshift bomber. It ended its days in a children's playground. Scanned from the original negative, now held by Bill Gray. Photographer's name unknown.
