Returning home along the Runway 13 approach to land at HMS Gannet, its 771 Squadron Search and Rescue Flight base on Prestwick's North Side. Carries the number "30" and the Scottish Saltire Flag on its nose. First flew in December 1976 as an HAS2, later upgraded to HAS5 before conversion for Search and Rescue work. Withdrawn from use in 2015. Sold into private ownership by auction in 2016. Initially moved to Caernarfon Airport, Wales. By 2019 transported by road to Myjava, Slovakia, for restoration alongside XZ598.

Parked on the flightline of its homebase NAS Fallon, NSAWC's F/A-18A 162840 is basking in the early Nevada sunshine.

Delivered to the RAF as XR704 in 1963. To Halton for use as ground trainer 8506M by 1978. Sold to Everett Aero, Sproughton in 1993. To the USA and registered as N8272Y in 1995. Current on the register in 2024.

Undergoing reassembly at the Bournemouth Aviation Museum. Note the tail code "30", which does not relate to the aircraft's No 4 FTS days, as it was coded "61" at the time of the accident at RAF Mona that ended its flying career.

One side of this Jaguar is painted in 2 Squadron markings, the other side is painted in the colours of 41 Squadron.

"TOPGUN 30" F-14A NFWS on short final to runway 24R

Delivered in 1956 to and, at the time of upload in 2023, still in use with the US Navy. This DeHavilland NU-1B Otter was for me one of the stars of the NAS Oceana Air Show in 2005.

Seen at a Families Day, parked at dispersal on its home base, RAF Kinloss. Entered service in 1969 as the first of the RAF's operational Nimrod fleet. Suffered a tragic fatal accident after in-flight refuelling on a reconnaissance mission over Afghanistan in 2006, when a fire led to a catastrophic explosion resulting in the loss of all 14 persons on board. The subsequent Inquiry, Inquest and Nimrod Review were severely critical of the Authorities regarding Nimrod safety and airworthiness. In 2009 the MR2 fleet was grounded. Coupled with the axing of the failing MR4 project in 2010, this left the UK with no credible long range maritime reconnaissance / anti submarine capability until the arrival of the Poseidon MRA1 in 2020.

Also carries the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (Topgun) badge on the vertical stabiliser.

The aircraft used to be coded '305', but the last digit has been erased. The owl badge on the fin is probably of HMS Minerva Flight.
