I am not sure about the identity of this aircraft. It seems to have a MASDC storage code "4CC258" on the nose gear door, but I can not find any history of that. Storage code "CC258" however belongs to a VC-54E with serial 44-9067 with cn 27293, which arrived at Davis Monthan on October 23, 1974 with no known history after that. Any more information about this aircraft would be appreciated.

Seen here, readied for deployment on active service during the wildfire season, at the Aero Union base on the municipal airport at Chico. Built for the US Navy as S2F-1 BuNo 133224, later redesignated TS-2A. Previously carried the CDF tail number "71". Withdrawn from use by late 2006 and retired to the Pacific Coast Air Museum in Santa Rosa, California where it was put on static display.

Two NAMC YS-11s in Far West titles (N102MP and N109MP) were seen at KCIC on Jan. 7, 1985. The startup regional airline leased three YS-11s, but only operated from Fresno from Sep 24, 1984-Dec 31, 1984 before shutting down and YS-11s returned in Jan 1985. First flight as JA8639 on Nov 12, 1964. Operated by TAW Toa Airways (1965-1970), Korean Air (HL5219; leased 1970-?), Philippine Airlines (RP-C1414; 1974-1984). To Mid Pacific Air as N102MP in July 1984. To Aerosierra De Durango as XA-RPC. To Gala Air Service as N602GL in 1999. To Robinson Air Crane in MIA in 2004. Scrapped in 2006.

To Boeing and then Aero Spacelines. Converted to Mini Guppy c1963-1967. First flight May 24, 1967. To American Jet Industries as N1037V and in Oct 1977 to N422AJ. To Aero Union July 1981. To Erikson Air Crane in late 1980s to transport S-64E/F Skycrane helicopters. To Tillamook Air Museum at KTMK in mid-1990s. Displayed outside Airship Hangar B (Jack Erickson moved his private collection from KTMK to Madras, OR in 2013)

Delivered to the USAAF as 45-629 in 1945. Renamed to USAF in 1947. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CC252 in 1973. Sold to Aero Union as N4989P in 1978 and converted to a fire bomber. Destroyed in a mid-air collision with a Beech Baron on approach to Ramona, CA in 1995.

Delivered to the US Army as 52-8623. Sold as N8540. Operated by Lassen Air then to Aero Union and stored at Chico, CA. To the AFFTC Museum, Edwards, CA in 1989 and put in their storage area.

Delivered to the US Army as 51-15886. Sold as N68788, then to Aero Union as N48082. Stored at Chico, CA. To the Aerospace Museum of California, McClellan, CA in 1989 and preserved.

Sold to Biegert Aviation as N67109 in 1975. To Aero Union in 1978 and converted to a fire bomber. Destroyed by fire after a nosewheel collapse while landing at Chico, CA in 1990.
