Ex-Spantax EC-ACD. Delivered to Stansted for British Air Ferries on 29th January 1973. On overhaul at the time of the photo with #1 engine out, it was air-tested on 1st February 1974. It departed 5 days later on delivery to Octavian Airways of Vientiane, Laos, arriving at Bangkok on 20th February. I have been unable to find any subsequent history of the aircraft.

Just about to depart Southend for Cardiff-Rhoose and its new owners, Cambrian Airways who re-registered it G-BBMG. Channel Airways had ceased trading in February 1972 and this may be the last fight of an aircraft in their livery. Cambrian was absorbed into British Airways. To Birmingham European/Maersk Air; sold to Nationwide as ZS-OAH in April 1997. WFU at Lanseria in 2003 and broken up late 2005.
