While being operated as a floatplane, it was written off when it crashed in the sea 1/4-mile offshore from Camber, near Rye, East Sussex on 27 August 1982, with both occupants being rescued from the sea with only minor injuries. It was cancelled 30 November 1982 as Destroyed.
