Seen as part of a balloon display as part of the Nottingham Festival, this balloon, made its first flight at Cardington on 21st May 1941 though it was not registered until 1965. It did not fly at the show. Though the register shows this to be a hot-air balloon it is clearly a gas balloon. It is seen weighted down with sand-bags and the magnificent Wollaton Hall is visible in the background.

For many years I was unsure of the type of this Balloon but it was identified as a Semco by Dave Wesner. It was seen taking off at a Balloon Festival as part of the Nottingham Festival.
