Sold onto the UK civil register as G-AZHJ on 20 Oct 1971. WFU 23 Jul 1997. To storage and used as a spares source by the Classic Air Force. Moved to the South Wales Aviation Museum, Saint Athan Airport on 12 Nov 2020.

Weather diversion day at EMA. This one from Heathrow. Delivered new to BOAC on 28 Feb 1971. Merged into British Airways 01 Apr 1974. This aircraft met a sad end. On 02 Aug 1990 she was operating BA149 to Kuala Lumpur with scheduled stops at Kuwait and Madras. Unfortunately her arrival in Kuwait coincided with the Iraqi invasion. The passengers and crew were taken prisoner and a number were later used as human shields at key locations by the Iraqi forces. The aircraft was destroyed at the airport. Dates being reported as 18 or 27 Feb 1991.
