In 1959 during a visit to the USA, Soviet leader Khrushchev enjoyed his ride in an S-58 helicopter. When President Eisenhower challenged him to order some, Khrushchev said yes and two HUS-1Zs as well as two V-44s were actually sold and shipped to the USSR. This Flying Banana is still in Vertol company livery.

The second of two Mil V-12 prototype helicopters, powered by four Soloviev D-24VF turboshaft engines. This aircraft first flew in March 1973 and was given to the Monino Museum in 1975, after the cessation of the development programme in 1974. It went on display as seen here, without a registration. Unfortunately in 2012 it was made to look like the first prototype by falsely painting it with that helicopter's registration CCCP-21142. The registration with which this second prototype actually flew during its operational life is unknown.

The M-15 was an agricultural aircraft intended to be used on the huge Soviet collective farms. In the end performance was disappointing and only 175 were built. In terms of mass produced jets it is, however, the only cropduster, the only biplane and the world's slowest jet. On display at the Central Museum of the Air Force at Monino.
