This beautifully restored Bird Dog even has the smoke marker rocket tubes beneath its wings. Originally USAF 51-12471. Although registered in Australia on 17 December 1996, this Bird Dog was imported in 1989 from Vietnam. It's restoration started in 1992 and took 9 years - it's very original and in magnificent condition in these colourful South Vietnamese Air Force markings.

This 1967 Cessna 150F was one of a batch all registered new in Australia about the same time in the VH-RG_ series. This one was originally allocated N6271R but probably never wore it as it was re-registered in Australia on 16 September 1965. It's seen here, looking wonderful in its original factory scheme, departing after the Houdini-Centenary Air Show.

This aircraft provides a good example of 'dealer's marks'. The registration VH-FNG is allocated to manufacturer Gippsland Aeronautics as a dealer's mark to be used on any of their aircraft for the purposes of test, delivery or demonstration flights. The rego is used as the aircraft's radio callsign, but it is not permitted to be displayed on the aircraft - hence in this case the aircraft is only identified by its cn. It is seen here getting airborne for a demonstration at the Houdini-Centenary Air Show.
