This beautiful, magnificent and historic beast has recently emerged from restoration to fly again. Powered by a Lycoming R-680 of 245 hp, she was imported by Vacuum Oil (later Mobil, as you can see under the wings) and registered on 13 Oct 1936. Used as a utility aircraft until sold in 1939. Impressed by RAAF 1941 as A38-1. Demobbed and sold 1948. Several owners until re-registered VH-KAF 1957. Ended up in Drage Airworld museum at Wangaratta & sold to present owner several years ago when museum collapsed.

Surely the best colour scheme going around on a Harvard today? Although painted in this superb USN scheme, this aircraft was actually built as AT-6C Harvard Mk II, USAAF 41-33767, to an RAF order (EX794). It was, however, shipped straight to New Zealand in August 1943 and became NZ1051. It served with the RNZAF until 1978 when it was sold. Seen here taxying for departure from the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in.

Lovely OY-1 Stinson (a naval version of the L-5E) making an early morning departure from the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in. The aircraft has been restored to accurate markings it wore in USN service. VH-NOY made its first post-restoration flight on 29 March 2007. The aircraft is on the Register with cn '03995', but as far as can be determined this is actually its Bu number.

Originally built as a straight J.1 and registered in the UK as G-AGYJ. Exported to Australia in 1952 where it became VH-BGB. Re-registered to VH-KEV in 1954, and VH-WMM in 1957. Recently completely rebuilt following following a mammoth towing job across the Nullarbor Plain from St. Arnaud, Vic, to Western Australia. Cirrus Minor engine replaced with a Gipsy Major making it effectively a J.1N. FF after rebuild 14 December 2003 at Jandakot. It's thought the owner has an connection with Air New Zealand, hence the colours.

The Airedale is a fairly rare aircraft, only 43 having been built and only 3 imported to Australia. VH-DCR was first registered on 11 April 1963, one of 3 Airedales imported by a short-lived Bankstown outfit named Allied Aviation Ltd. The others were VH-DCP & DCS, from the then current DCA NSW Region allocation VH-DC reg block. They were new production aircraft shipped from England, no previous British registrations. Currently Swan Hill, Vic, based. (Thanks Mr Jeffri)
