Back again for another Wide Bay International Airshow. This Strikemaster was built in 1973 and allocated the RAF serial PS341, but shipped straight to New Zealand where it entered RNZAF service as NZ6372 of 14 Squadron. It was withdrawn in October 1992 and sold to Australia in 1993, arriving in June that year. In November it was trucked to Bendigo for restoration. Currently operates with International Fighter Flight Centre out of Port Macquarie, NSW.

Aaaah, de Havilland...sunset arrival at the Wide Bay International Airshow. This is actually the third Tiger Moth (& the 5th aircraft) to carry the registration VH-RVE: the other Tigers were both old Royal Victorian Aero Club machines. This particular example was built in the UK in 1941 for the RAF as T7093. Post-war it became G-AMMX and later found its way to New Zealand as ZK-BAN, before coming to Australia for a re-build.

This Queensland Police Air Wing Beech 1900 is painted in a very similar scheme to their previous VH-PSK, a King Air 350. Built in 1997, it was originally registered in the USA as N10984(2). It went to France for a while as F-GRCD, on lease from manufacturer Raytheon to Occitania Jet Fleet. In October 2004 it resumed its former US registration and 2005 it was exported to Australia, being registered VH-PSK(3) on 4 May that year. It's seen here departing Bundy's Runway 32 after a very quick stop.

This Christen-built 1983 Pitts Special was registered new in Canada as C-GTDC and flew with the civil Ray Ban Gold aerobatic formation team in the 1980s. It was exported to Australia and registered VH-ZZZ on 4 December 1990. During 2006-08 it underwent a rebuild, emerging with this attractive scheme. Apparently it is known as 'The Angry Bee' (ZZZ...get it?).
