The last time I visited the Technik Museum Sinsheim this H-21C was lying at the back of their restoration yard so it it was very satisfying to see it nicely on display. The helicopter was formerly 8317 with the Luftwaffe.

This Ju-88 was salvaged from a lake in Sweden in 1986 and is now on display at the super Technik Museum Sinsheim, although the forward fuselage is a replica. Note the Wk. Nr. has been also reported as 0881379 and 1301643. Any definitive proof one way or the other would be appreciated.

There seems to be some confusion about this Fitter-K. A different Su-22M4 '2544' (cn 31406, formerly '798' of the NVA) from MFG-28 'Paul Wieczorek' at Laage was painted in 1990 into the state blue/yellow/red colours of Meclenburg-Vorpommern to mark the last ever flight of a Fitter in German service. That aircraft is preserved at Berlin-Gatow. This Fitter-K is in reality formerly '2520' of the GAF and '704' of the NVA.

Many aircraft wrecks from WWII are known to lie in the waters of the Mediterranean along the 250 km coastline between Marseille and Nice. This wreck was recovered in good condition, with only the tail section missing, from the sea-bed at a depth of 90 m in 1989. This Ju-87 from St.G. 101 ditched into the sea in 1944 after a mid-air collision with Ju 87 B-1, Wk. Nr. 0270, No human remains were found in the cockpit and, as the throttles were set to zero, it is assumed that the crew were safely able to exit the plane on the water. Unfortunately their bodies were never recovered.

This Hip-C was originally '394' with the NVA from August 1968. It was penciled in to be transferred to the East German Police as DDR-VHB but this never happened as Unification meant that it was transferred to the GAF as '94+18'. It is now on display at the Auto & Tecnik museum with a serial that is an amalgam of its previous identities.

This museum is primarily for petrol head car fans but it does have many wonderful planes too. I presume the natural metal finish of the original Polish scheme wasn't deemed interesting enough and so they went for this fictional (?) Soviet markings.

This Canberra was delivered to the RAF as WK137 and was one of three subsequently sold to the West German AF. The rather garish colour scheme results from its initail role as a target tug. It is now on display at the super Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim.
