Built as a C170B, this aircraft made its first flight on 29 January 1954 with the 'trade plate' rego N2587C. Somewhere along the line it also seems to have briefly been N11B but the following month it was delivered to the Royal Thai Air Force. Ten years later, in 1964, it was transferred to the Thailand Ministry of Agriculture with civil registration HS-RAC. In 1970 it was sold to Sky of Siam Co. and re-registered HS-CHC. It was later exported to Australia where the rego VH-YCS was allocated but not taken up. It was subsequently restored and registered VH-COS(3) on 17 December 1997.

It was built to order of the Netherlands East Indies government in 1941 and based at Surabaya as PK-VVW, but shipped to Adelaide at the outset of the Japanese invasion. Impressed into RAAF Service 1942 as A17-626 and based at Temora, Richmond, Point Cook amongst others. Sold by RAAF 1954 to the Mackay Flying Club and became VH-GWB but crashed in Rockhampton in 1958 and was deregistered. Restored and re-registered as VH-MDV in 1959.

It was used on the Adelaide-Whyalla run until late 1939 when it was flown to Perth and used by Macrobertson Miller Airlines on services in Western Australia. MMA sold it in 1948 and it has had a succession of private owners since. Fully rebuilt at Bendigo by Ray Goulding between 1988 and 1995. Seen here at the AAAA National Fly-in.

This Cessna seems to have been very briefly N45654, then N1589C before being re-registered in Australia as VH-UQO(2) on 11 December 1975. It had a spell off the register between 2006 and 2008, possibly for restoration as it looks in pretty good shape.
