Ready for departure to Toronto yesterday afternoon as "WestJet (WJA) 714". These Swoop aircraft now seem to be filling in as needed on domestic flights. At least they put a tiny "Operated by WestJet" sticker by the door.

The latest 737-8 to join the WestJet fleet, brings the total now up to 25. Arriving from Palm Springs as "WestJet (WJA) 1723.

Leased new to Canada 3000 May 18, 1992, this 757 was chartered to JMC Air in May 2000. When Canada 3000 financially collapsed in November 2001, the aircraft was returned and went back to the lessor.Leased to North American Airlines May - November 2002 (N551NA) and Omni Air International 2003 - 08 (N459AX), it became G-STRX with Astraeus Airlines. It was operated for several other carriers before returned to the lessor in December 2011. Stored at Goodyear, AZ, it was broken up by July 2012.

The second of the E model Hercules for the Royal Canadian Air force in 1964, 130306 was stored at Winnipeg in 2010 and kept in Flyable Reserve status for a short time. Ferried to Abbotsford, BC in 2011 for storage, the aircraft was stripped of parts by Cascade Aerospace over the years for Hercules overhauls and upgrades.

Pacific Western Airlines took delivery of this 737 on April 27, 1972. It's pictured departing for lease to Pan Am as N381PA "Clipper Wedding" for intra-Europe flights. When the aircraft returned in April 1987, Pacific Western had merged with Canadian Pacific Airlines and Nordair to form Canadian Airlines International. The aircraft was sold to SBG Overseas Leasing in November 1992, flying in Panama and Mexico before leased to short lived Astoria Airlines June - September 1995. It was picked up by Westjet (C-GJWE) in November 1995 before they started operations and withdrawn in November 2005.

Delivered April 13, 1983 to 412 Transport Squadron at Ottawa, 144602 would later get winglets. Withdrawn and stored sometime before 2004 as the aircraft was sold to Mountain Aviation in April of that year to be registered N601WJ. The aircraft was sold to K Aviation and operated 2015 - 18 when the registration (N287DL) was cancelled.

"CanForce (CFC) 01 Heavy" departing this morning for San Francisco with PM Trudeau onboard. This flight marks the first trip utilizing the new CC-330 Husky which will replacing the aging CC-150 Polaris.

Resting on the West Pad's is this Kalitta Air 747 which diverted on its CVG-ANC routing due to weather in Anchorage. My colleagues up in Whitehorse have had 3, Kalitta 747s over the last few days, so it's nice see one come here for my viewing pleasure!

Built in 1975, Cessna 402B C-GRKS came to Canada in 1987. It went too the USA in 1990 for Pro Air Express as N60GP.

Former 57-341 with the US Air Force, this Voodoo is pictured active with 409 Tactical Fighter Squadron from Comox, BC. Later with 425 Squadron, the fighter is preserved at the Air Defence Museum at CFB Bagotville in Quebec.

CP Air's first order for 737s were seven aircraft delivered in 1968 - 69. A second surge of seventeen new 737s were delivered during 1979 - 83. Pictured is the "Empress of Victoria", delivered June 18, 1980. The flaps are extended and thrust reversers deployed in preparation for an external wash.

Quebec based Lac St Jean Aviation was bought by Okanagan Helicopters in 1973 and operated as a subsidiary. This Bell 205 was sold to Quasar Helicopters in 1981. It was with Campbell Helicopters 1987 - 2007 after Quasar closed down. The helicopter is current (since 2007) with Expedition Helicopters at the time of uploading.

Arriving from Kelowna on the once weekly LNG charter as "Flightcraft (KFA) 1550". It later departed for Terrace, BC. Always nice to see the elusive 737-600.

Arriving from Denver's Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport as "N334AG" on delivery this evening to Vancouver based Pacific Coastal Airlines. This Saab is their 11th to join the fleet, and well be painted up in WestJet Link colours.

"Encore (WEN) 4702" on departure for Fort St. John this morning on its first visit after getting repainted in the "new" WestJet colours.

Having served with Air BC and predecessor AirWest since 1971, C-FAWC is pictured in it's last year of service. The aircraft was sold to North Cariboo Flying Services (North Cariboo Air) in March 1989.

Arriving from RAAF Amberly with a tech stop in Nadi, Fiji is this inconspicuous HiFly A340-300. It later departed for Faro, Portugal. Flying under the callsign of "Aussie (ASY) 979 Heavy", this seems to be some sort of charter for the RAAF. Although they seem to have gone the wrong way around the world...
