This T-39 was retired to AMARC as 7T0027 in September, 1990. It was then sold to Jett Paqueteria and became XA-AAG. However, on 2nd June, 2003 this was one of several Rockwell Sabreliners, previously operated by the US Navy, that were damaged beyond repair at Laredo IAP, Texas, when a hangar roof collapsed during a windstorm as they were were being prepared for the Mexican airline.
Built by Rootes at Liverpool - Speke in March 1945. Operated by 644 Squadron RAF based at Tarrant Rushton, Dorset. Ditched in Lake Mjosa, Norway on 24.04.45 after being hit when supporting Special Forces. Shown in 2004 during painstaking restoration at CFB Trenton with focus on rear turret and fuselage.
The sole survivor of a small batch of S-1 trainers acquired by the Swedish AF in 1937 and designated P 1 by them. This example preserved at Malmen wears the markings of the F8 unit and served until retirement in late 1946.
