Transferred to the US Navy/Marines as 91998 on 23 Feb 1946. Converted to a R5D-5 in Dec 1958. Later converted to a C-54J then a C-54Q. WFU and stored at Davis Monthan in Oct 1970. Registered as N96449 with Waig Aircraft Inc on 12 Dec 1975, Crashed on 02 Dec 1980 returning to Tucson from Ryan Field after being released from fire fighting duties. Registration cancelled on 15 Apr 1982.
