As displayed in the terminal building at KCMH. Built in Columbus in 1940; despite the what the c/n may suggest, this was not the first Cadet to fly. That was NX20946, c/n 101. The discrepancy requires further research, but my understanding at the moment is that c/n 100 was a development aircraft of some sort. This is reinforced by the fact that the reg "NX20989" is still faintly visible on the underwing and tail fabric. Has since been removed from this location, first to the Historical Aircraft Squadron Museum at LHQ, and then in 2019 to storage with the Ohio History Connection in Columbus.

As displayed in the terminal building at KCMH. Built in Columbus in 1940; despite the what the c/n may suggest, this was not the first Cadet to fly. That was NX20946, c/n 101. The Aviation Technical Museum first exhibits were aircraft which required maintenance and had been sent to Luhansk Aircraft Repair Plant. Some aircraft remained there, and subsequently were written from use and preserved for display in the museum. This prototype of the Su-27 (T10-10) still has some significant differences with the production Su-27, as can be appreciated in this head on shot. The position of the undercarriage and nose wheel make the aircraft look quite different.

Some aircraft remained there, and subsequently were written from use and preserved for display in the museum. The Tu-124 was a smaller version (3/4 scale) of the Tu-104, of which only 164 were built, one is seen here on poles giving the kids a good time, and adults alike!
