This Tiger Moth was licence-built at Rongotai, New Zealand and delivered to the RNZAF as NZ1455 in Nov 1942. Became ZK-ATM in Jun 1949 and used as a cropduster for several years. Crashed on take-off from Ardmore while towing a banner on 29 Sep 1967. It was repaired and restored as ZK-ATM in Aug 1971. Sold to the UK in May 1980 and registered as G-BJLI in Sep 1981, but it was cancelled on sale to Switzerland only two months later. It was finally registered as HB-UPM on 5 Apr 1982 and is now flown out of Sitterdorf in Germany by owner and pilot Jürgen Schott.

This 1945-built Dominie was a static display aircraft at Frankfurt's Rhein-Main Airport, until restored to flying condition by Josef Koch in 1993-1995. It now operates for his Fliegendes Museum out of Grossenhain, Germany. It was repainted in new colours in 2012 and is now appropriately named "Lady Dominie".

Right from the day it was first delivered in 1936, this Waco of the Deutsches Museum almost exclusively operated on floats in Alaska until moving to the continental USA in 1969. Twenty years later it underwent a lengthy restoration, after which the aircraft was delivered to Germany in April 1997. It is now based at Schleissheim and flown by Marwig Herzog. Very boring "colours" on this 1941-built Klemm, owned by Hakan Wijkander since 2009. It was delivered to the Swedish AF in 1941 as Sk15A serialled Fv5054, coded F5-184, and I think it would be nice to see it painted as such. This aircraft was first registered as SE-BGA on 7 Jul 1948 and it has seen many owners in the years that followed. It is now based at Hatunaholm airfield near Bålsta in Sweden.

This rare 1936-built Dragon, operated by the Aer Lingus Charitable Foundation, is painted like Aer Lingus' very first aircraft, EI-ABI "Iolar", which flew their first service in July 1936. This Yak-11 was built in 1948 by LET in Czechoslovakia and delivered to the Egyptian Air Force. In 1982 it was salvaged from the Egyptian desert and transported to La Ferté-Alais in France for restoration, together with several others of the type. This aircraft was acquired by Pierre Dague. He restored it and first flew it on 16 May 1987, named "Pierre's Troïka" and painted in the markings of the famous Normandie-Niemen squadron which flew for the Soviets on the eastern front in WW2. The aircraft was sold to current owner George Perez in 1999 and is now based at Melun-Reau.

A nice angle on this original 1918 Blériot XI, owned and flown by Mikael Carlson, while making a left turn for landing with Burg Teck gracing the background. This aircraft was licence-built in Sweden in 1918 by AB Enoch Thulin Aeroplanfabrik (AETA), under the name Thulin A. In 1986 Mikael found it in a barn in disassembled but complete condition, restored it, and first flew it in 1991. Mikael keeps his planes at his private airstrip at Kvarnhem, Sebbarp in Löberöd, Sweden.

Immaculate Polish 1978-built sprayer aircraft, registered to Interflug on 17 Sep 1979 as PZL-106A DDR-TAB and still flying in their colours. Later fitted with another engine and larger prop, making it a PZL-106AR. It became D-FOAB after Germany's re-unification and is now owned by Dieter Gehling. It normally flies out Stadtlohn. This aircraft used to be a rare two-seater dual-control trainer with an extra bubble canopy in front of the regular cockpit, but following an accident in 2011 it was recently rebuilt as a regular Kruk.
