Built in 1942, Previously F-BGPS

Built in 1988 and previously N24EL. On the UK register since 2008

Delivered just before the end of WWII on June 27, 1945 as 45-49406, this Thunderbolt was placed in storage until March 1948. Allocated to several Air National Guard units until refurbished in 1953 and passed on to Brazil under the Mutual Defense Aid Program. With serial 4192, the P-47 flew with the Air Force until 1960 when it became a ground instructional airframe. Later used as a base display aircraft, it was sold to the USA in 1988. Bought by the Flying Heritage Collection in 1998 and painted as Seattle-born Colonel Ralph C. Jenkins' Tallahassee Lassie.

After over 25 years of work by Terry Arnold, this superb replica was completed, built using original plans. The real MK805 has now also been totally restored and preserved in the Italian Air Museum at Vigna di Vallee

At Flying Legends 2014. Painted in unusual Norway AF / RAF No. 20 Transport Squadron markings, which were only briefly carried in Norway between June 1945 and Feb 1946. This Squadron, unrelated to the RAF's own No.20 Squadron, was in fact a continuation of the German Air Force 20 Transportfliegergeschwader. The squadron, formally controlled by the RAF, was the first step in re-establishing civil aviation in Norway after the war, using several DC-3s and Lockheed L-18 Lodestars.
