RAF Croft (later renamed RAF Neasham) opened in 1941 as a satellite to RAF Middleton St George (now Durham Tees Valley). As the base for a number of RAF And RCAF bobmer squadrons, it finally closed in 1946. Whilst a small number of light aircraft continue to operate from the site, the former airfield now stages major Touring Car and Superbike Championship races.

Opened in 1914 as a Royal Flying Corps station and came under RAF administration in 1918. In 1927, it temporarily came under the administration of the British Army, under the Army Air Co-Operation Command until 1939 when the station was handed back to the RAF. Closed in 1994, it is now part of the British Army's Marne Barracks, Catterick Garrison; the single runway now largely covered by accommodation units.

Built for the RAF as NJ771 but diverted to the RAAF where it became A11-39. Civilianised in the '40s, becoming VH-BCF. Rebuilt following a crash in 1950, but damaged again in 1952. Remarkably, it seems to have had the same owner since 1965. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally.
