General overview of the parking area at this private aerodrome with Moloney Aviation's Cessna 172 VH-TMT in the centre. The clubroom at the left is occupied by AirSports Australia, the ultralight flying school, whilst the office on the right belongs to Moloney. A Jabiru rests in the hangar at right, which carries the name of the nearest town, "Sunbury", on the roof (the other side has "Penfield").

The RAAF's first Parrot, this aircraft was delivered from New Zealand wearing the ferry rego ZK-DPZ. It was delivered to the RAAF on 7 Jan 1975 and served initially with ARDU. Later allocated to 1 FTS, Point Cook. Last flown 26 Oct 1992 with 2541.4 hours and 7318 landings. Allocated to the RAAF Museum and re-painted in the original green and yellow colour scheme.

This is actually a replica Avro 504K built by AJD Engineering in the UK to airworthy standard using original instruments, fittings and engine. It was delivered to the RAAF Museum, where it now resides, in 2001.

This aircraft was one of four Shorthorns, known as 'Rumpetys', ordered in 1917 and operated at the AFC Central Flying School at Point Cook until 1919. The aircraft was then sold to pioneer R Graham Carey who based it at Port Melbourne. The remains of this, and three other Farmans, were donated to the RAAF Museum in the 1980s and restoration began in 1986. Since 1993 the restored aircraft has been on display in the RAAF Museum. RAF serial B2012.

Over-view to the south-west of historic Point Cook aerodrome. On the southern boundary is the former First World War-vintage seaplane station and jetty, with the modern base area on the western boundary. Point Cook is Australia's oldest operating aerodrome. Land was first purchased for use as a military aerodrome in early 1913 and the Central Flying School opened here shortly afterwards. Today home to the RAAF Museum, you can see two of their Hercules if you look hard!

Originally built by DHA at Bankstown for the Rhodesian Air Force as DX800, but diverted to the RAAF as A17-711 in 1943. Became VH-RTB after the war. On display since May 1999 in the RAAF Museum in its wartime colours.
