On taking off from LWO this was the sight with 87 aircraft of various types visible in this shot alone. I believe that the blue and white Su27 in the compound at the bottom was the one involved in the world's worst airshow disaster on 28th July 2002, when 84 people were killed and more than 100 injured. On taking off from LWO this was the sight with 87 aircraft of various types visible in this shot alone. I believe that the blue and white Su27 in the compound at the bottom was the one involved in the world's worst airshow disaster on 28th July 2002, when 84 people were killed and more than 100 injured.
