This DC-7 served as the "DC-7 Steak House" just east of Byron, which opened it doors in late 1981. Located on the southwest corner of Georgia Highway 49 and Interstate 75, it had an outdoor terrace and a swimming pool, as can be seen here. Had been closed and abandoned by the time this photo was taken. Unfortunately the aircraft was broken up for scrap a little while later.

This duo of Convairs saw service with Prinair during the early 1980s, but had been withdrawn from use for more than 4 years when this photo was taken. The one in front, N771PR, is special: it is the Convair 580 prototype, converted from a Convair 340 in 1959 (first flight as a Conv580 on 19 January 1960 as N5100). The one in the background is N900WC (c/n 110). Both aircraft were scrapped here during the early 1990s.

This former Prinair Convair has definitely seen better days. It probably ended up in storage here in the mid 1980s, after having been sold by Prinair to a truck rental company. It was acquired by Kelowna Flightcraft for spares in March 1990, and slowly reduced to scrap in the following years. It was officially cancelled from the register as 'scrapped' in May 1999.
