To Trans World Express Dec 91. To Italair Jul 97 as EI-COC. Damaged beyond repair at Alghero (Sardinia, Italy) 20 Jan 98 when the undercarriage collapsed, landing in strong crosswinds.

Seen here in storage, but this Convair went on the following year to fly with DHL in Europe as OO-DHJ. It was however lost in a crash 0n 1 September 2008 as N587X with Air Tahoma. It was on a flight following a maintenance "C" Check and crashed in Pickaway County, Ohio, immediately after departure from Rickenbacker International Airport. The crew had declared an in-flight emergency and were attempting to return to the departure airport. All three occupants - the captain, first officer and a company pilot observer - were killed in the crash or post-crash fire. An NTSB report blamed elevator trim

Originally built for SABENA in 1956 as a CV-440, OO-SCT, this long-lived Convair was still active with Air Chathams in New Zealand as of 2018.

This was the first Neptune converted for fire-fighting duties, in 1969. Its original US Navy serial was 124904. It was officially registered to Evergreen Helicopters in Oct 1984, but was never used by them. Reregistered to N208EV in 1985, but reg not painted on and aircraft remained stored. Eventually scrapped there.

This line of early ex-Eastern 727s lingered at Marana for several years before being broken up.

Note the Hamilton-Standard props fitted to this aircraft - they are similar to those fitted to the P-3 Orion.

These Albatrosses have been stored at Marana for many years.

In storage after withdrawal from Pan Am service. After conversion to a freighter this aircraft went on to serve with Evergreen as N475EV and then Tower Air as N615FF.

With sister-ship N73157 on the right, this pristine 580 is being prepared for lease to American Eagle/Wings West.

Seen just as its New Zealand registration is about to be overpainted. New marks were N42920.
