Built as 42-24340 this C-47 was delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force with serial 663 in September 1943. It went to Alberta Northern Airways in 1973 and was leased or sold to various airlines until Pem-Air flew it until 1979. To the USA as N211Q, it was sold to SAEP Colombia (Servicios Aéreos Especializados en Transportes Petroleros) becoming HK-3031. The aircraft suffered a non-fatal crash returning to the airport after an engine failure and burned out at Bogotá on February 8, 1986.
