VH-BBR was imported as a second-hand aircraft in 1960 by Australian Aircraft Sales. It was supposed to be one of 28 used Bonanzas the company had bought for resale in Australia. Only two arrived, the other being VH-BBQ. VH-BBR was withdrawn from use in 1977.

VH-AAB was a British-built version of the German Klemm Swallow. It came to Australia in 1937 from India , where it had been registered VT-AIG. The picture was taken in the Marshall Airways hangar, where the Swallow was being checked before returning to the register after a rebuild. That is a genuine Bf109G in the background along with a DH84 Dragon and Marshall's Avro Cadet VH-AGH. VH-AAB was still registered in 2017.
