Built at Victory Aircraft, Malton in July 1945 as a Lancaster Mk10 and later converted to a Mk10MR, operating with 107 Rescue Unit based at Torbay, Newfoundland. Retired in 1963 and displayed at Goderich, Ontario for many years before being restored to flying condition. Currently flies as C-GVRA/KB726 with the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum

Prototype of the Accountant airliner, an ambitious Dakota-replacement project by Southend-based Aviation Traders (Engineering). A note on this photograph states 'Under final stages of construction', which places it on an unknown date in 1957, given that it made its first flight on 9th July 1957, as G-41-1. Registered as G-ATEL 30th August 1957 and displayed at the Farnborough Air Show the following month. Sadly it attracted little interest and the project was abandoned, the aircraft making its last flight on 10th January 1958. Cancelled 8th Oct.1959 as PWFU and broken up at Southend Feb.1960.

Operated by the Herts & Essex Aero Club. Receiving maintenance, most probably at its Stapleford base. WFU in August 1960 then stored until it was restored and flew again on 20th May 1984. Current in 2022.

Malden Island airstrip was built in 1956-57 to support British nuclear weapons tests at Christmas Island (now Kiritmati).
