The French AF bought 20 ex-USN AD-4s as well as 88 ex-USN AD-4Ns and five ex-USN AD-4NAs with the former three-seaters modified to single-seat aircraft with removal of the radar equipment and the two operator stations from the rear fuselage. The AD-4N/NAs were initially acquired in 1956 to replace aging Republic P-47 Thunderbolts in Algeria. The Skyraiders had only a short career in Algeria, but they nonetheless proved to be the most successful of all the ad hoc counter-insurgency aircraft deployed there. The Skyraider remained in limited French service until the 1970s.

The Voisin 10 (or X) was a French two-seat pusher biplane built in two versions, either fitted with a 37 mm cannon (the LBR or Ca.2) or as a conventional bomber (the LAR or Bn.2). It first entered service in late 1917 but had poor performance relative to contemporary fighters so was often relegated to night operations. Despite its obsolescence, it would make up the bulk of front line night bomber escadrilles until the end of the war. This example is the 4th plane produced (not 4 as a serial) and flew with Escadrille V110. This fuselage is the only survivor of all the 900 Voisin 10's built.

From 1990, 35 Super Etendards underwent an upgrade programme and were subsequently named SEM (Super Etendard Modernisé). These planes received a Damocles Laser designation nacelle, an automatic resetting GPS and FLIR that gave the capability to precision bomb moving targets. In March 2016, a SEM aircraft undertook its final launch from the carrier 'Charles de Gaulle' ahead of its final withdrawal from service in July. The type has since been replaced in service by the Rafale M. This SEM flew from Landivisiau to LBG for introduction into the museum in June 2010.

The Schneider DFS 108-14 SG-38 Schulgleiter is a German high-wing, cable-braced, single-seat primary glider that was designed at the Schneider factory at Grunau in 1938, hence the designation. The SG-38 played a critical role in pilot training for the second-wave of urgently needed Luftwaffe pilots in the WWII. It is one of, if not the most produced glider ever.

Ih France the type iss intimately associated with the 1930's Patrouille d'Étampes aerobatic team, which would two decades later become the Patrouille de France. The SO Ariel I was an experimental helicopter first flown in 1947, in which the engine drove a compressor and the low-pressure air output was ducted to a combustion chamber at the end of each of the three rotor blades, where the air was mixed with fuel and ignited. The improved Ariel II first flew in March 1949 and is on display in the Hall des Hélicoptères at this super museum. A final version, Aerial III was also developed and the knowledge gained from the programme was used in the development of the Sud-Ouest Djinn.

The Leduc 0.10 was a French research aircraft and one of the first aircraft to fly powered solely by a ramjet. Ramjets cannot produce thrust at zero airspeed and so cannot move from a standing start. It has to be carried aloft by a parasite aircraft, hence, the display in the Hall des Prototypes. The pilot controlled the aircraft from within the inner shell and the first powered flight from atop an Languedoc mother ship was made in April 1949 over Toulouse. The two initial prototypes both crashed but this third prototype completed 83 test flights.

This C-47 was built in Oklahoma City and TOC with the USAAF as 43-49194. In February 1946 it became D-21 with the Czechoslovak AF and flew with the Air Transport Regiment (Letecký dopravní pluk - LDP, which later became LDP.1, and after further re-organisation 1.ldp and then 1.dlp). In 1957 the frame was given the new serial 9194 and flew with the Czechoslovaks until 1960, after which it went to the French AF as 49194 and after decommissioning became F-OGFI. Sometime later the frame was scrapped and only the nose is on display at this super museum.

In order to compete for the Deutsch-Archdeacon Cup rewarding the first aviator capable of flying 1,000 m in a closed circuit, Henri Farman ordered a 50 hp biplane from the manufacturer Voisin. After three and a half months of testing, the plane sucessfully completed the route on January 13, 1908, and established the manufacturer's worldwide reputation. This reproduction is on display at this super museum.
