This 727 was acquired by UTA Guinee in two weeks before this capture and retained the basis of its American Airlines livery, having been delivered new to them in July 1977 as N865AA and making its last revenue flight in October 2001. In early 2003 it became YA-FAK with Ariana and briefly 3D-FAK before 3D-GDO. Just five days after the photo, on Christmas Day 2003 it was written off, crash landing onto the beach after clipping buildings on take-off from Cotonou in Benin bound for Beruit. It was overloaded with passengers and the high temperature meant that the runway was too short
