This 1964 Cessna 180 was briefly registered N4727U before being exported to Australia, becoming VH-DFO on 15 October that year. It was damaged in a forced landing following an engine failure while parachuting at Berrigan NSW on 3 October 1987. Restored to the Register following a rebuild on 1 May 1995.
The beautiful condition of this aircraft belies its age - it was manufactured in 1956 and briefly wore the US registrations N11B and N4637A. That same year it was exported to Australia, becoming VH-MZK(1) on 4 April. In 1960 it was re-registered VH-MZR before resuming its original registration in February 2002 (there having been two other VH-MZKs in the meantime).
