The first Azor built was mainly used at the end of its operational life in target towing duties in shooting exercises over the Mediterranean.

The type was first flown in '55. The Azor was developed for the airlines and was intended for use by Iberia's national routes. It was a quite capable a/c but lacked performance and capacity compared to US and European designs. So it was surpassed by the Fokker 27 and the Convair 440. As the Spanish AF was desperate to replace their aging fleet of CASA 352s, the Azor was available and fit the air force specifications. They ordered eventually 22 aircraft, with deliveries between '60-'67. It was replaced by the C212 in the late 80s. The picture shows one of the final two operational two C207s.

The Bristol Hercules-powered CASA C.207 Azor (Goshawk) was used only by the Spanish air force.

This is one of ten C-versions produced and is on display at the super Museo del Aire at Cuatro Vientos. The C-version had large cargo doors at the rear fuselage and space for 37 paratroopers.

Twenty-two Bristol Hercules-powered Azor transports were built for the Spanish Air Force, entering service in 1960.

This is one of the two C-207 prototypes built and is on display at the Museo del aire at Cuatro Vientos.

Developed from the earlier C.201 and C.202, the C.207 was similarly unsuccesful and used only by the Spanish air force.
