LN-FOI was the last of the three Electras to be repainted late 1986, but I did not see it before this day in february 1988, arrived in the morning and parked at the Cargo terminalall day until teh evening when it took off again. LN-FOI kept these colours until wfu at Fornebu in 1997, as Fred Olsen shut down the airlines started in 1946, becuse he would not invest in new buildings at ENGM/OSL which was to open October 8th 1998, and the fleet of L-188 Electra was nearing their livit of flhying, while the 727F and the 737f took over.

First flight 14 October 1959 as a L-188C with reg M9724C, and delivered new as ZK-NEA to TEAL Tasman Empire Airways . In January ZK-TEA transferred to Air New Zealand, named "Aotearoa". N31231 27 May 1972 for flamingo Air Lines. Converted to freighter in December 1972, and bought by FOF as LN-FOI 11th September 1973, op cargo flights for SAS and other carrieres. Seen parked outside the new Freightt terminal built in 1980, as the last of Fred Olsens three original Electras to be repainted in 1986. Moved to Coventry in January 1998, and it never flew again.

Withdrawn Coventry 1991 for part out and scrap. The cockpit of an Electra was so wide that each pilot had his own set of throttles. Having unloaded its cargo of flowers the aircraft is just having the chocks removed while the foreman (there were no "supervisors" those days) performs a final check.

Restrictions on Melbourne's Essendon airport meant TEAL's Electras and BOAC's Comets were the only foreign airliners seen there regularly in the early 1960s.

Fred Olsen freighter previously operated as a passenger aircraft by Air New Zealand as ZK-TEA.

The aircraft also carries Qantas titles as it is operating the joint routes from Australia to Wellington.

The Fred Olsen Electras were a Saturday highlight in LHR on SAS cargo services during the eighties. Originally ZK-TEA, this one was acquired by the Norwegian cargo airline in 9.73 and finally broken up at Coventry after almost 10 years' storage in 2006
