Former Luftwaffe AS377, LA106 and 7420, this Bell was transported by a Luftwaffe C-160 to Malta on 29 May 1972 and registered 9H-AAG a few months later. It served the Armed Forces of Malta, Air Squadron and 2nd Regiment until April 1997. The registration was cancelled from the Maltese register on 20 November 1997. It was shipped off in a container for the Aviation Academy in the University of UAE and became an ground instructional airframe at the Dubai Aviation Academy with the fictitious registration A6-BEL; Of note, the construction plate reports it as a AB47J, not AB47G-2 (February 2018).
